A good opportunity to learn direct from Japanese printmaker Yuriko Miyoshi about Moku-hanga technique and also Japanese papers. Get useful Japanese information and materials.
In this workshop, you can also get a chance to see the collection of Dr. Ad Stijnman who is a printmaker and print historian. You can compare the print techniques between etching/engraving, lithography and woodcut prints printed on those Japanese old books and also modern prints.
Via this two days workshop, you can learn how to use the hand-press BAREN which work not only for woodcut printing but at several situations. We don’t need to use etching press or lithography press. You can make your print works at home.
