Washi, Japanese Papermaking – to know more about Washi

Let’s make paper from Japanese Kozo ourselves.
And because I would like you to learn the difference in quality between different kinds of washi paper, I also show several Japanese kozo papers and gampi papers which I often use for my etching and woodcut prints.
I can tell about my study around Kozo and also Gampi, the experiences visiting several Japanese paper makers including the very rare Gampi papermaker in Japan.

Price € 50.- p.p. (3 hours)
Price is including material costs such as Kozo (paper mulberry), Gampi (Diplomorpha sikokiana) and cotton pulp, use of Japanese tools for papermaking: SU (bamboo screen) and KETA (wooden double frame).
Every participant receives an original Japanese print (etching or woodcut) on Washi.
